How do I reset my password?
Head to the sign in screen and tap “Forgot password.” We will email a secure reset link that expires in 15 minutes. If you no longer have access to that inbox, message hello@redlight.world and we will verify you another way.
Can I change my username or handle?
Yes. Visit Profile → Edit Profile and you can update your public display name or handle twice per week. Handles are unique across the community, so if one is taken you will see suggestions in real time.
How do I delete my account?
From Settings → Privacy Controls you can request full deletion. We immediately queue your messages and uploads for secure purge within 7 days. You will receive a confirmation email once everything is removed.

Billing

Where can I download my invoices?
Open Subscriptions → Billing History to export individual invoices as PDF. We also send a copy to your account email after each renewal.
Can I pause or downgrade my plan?
Absolutely. Use the Pause Plan button inside Subscriptions. When paused, billing stops immediately and unused time is credited when you return. To downgrade, choose a lighter plan and the difference will be prorated on your next invoice.
What payment methods do you support?
We support major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and select prepaid cards. If a payment fails, your messages remain accessible for 72 hours while you update the card on file.

AI Companion Issues

Get unstuck when a companion feels off-character or responds with glitches.

My companion is repeating itself. What should I do?
Tap the memory menu inside chat and select “Reset short-term memory.” This clears the last few turns while keeping your saved backstory. If repetition continues, flag the conversation so the safety team can fine tune the prompt.
How can I report inappropriate behavior?
Use the Report button next to any message or email safety@redlight.world with screenshots. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours and offenders may be shadow-muted or banned.
Can I customize a companion’s voice or vibe?
Yes. In the Create Character wizard you can tune voice packs, intimacy boundaries, and visual references. Existing companions can be remixed from their profile by selecting “Clone & edit.”

Technical Troubleshooting

Fix connectivity, notifications, or performance on desktop and mobile.

Messages are taking too long to send.
First, check https://status.redlight.world for any outages. If all systems are green, toggle Airplane Mode or switch Wi‑Fi networks and try again. Clearing the app cache often speeds up responses.
Why am I not getting push notifications?
Ensure notifications are enabled in Settings → Notifications and also in your device OS permissions. Sending yourself a “test ping” from Settings verifies delivery instantly.
Does RedLightWorld work offline?
Offline mode lets you read previous chats, but new generations require connectivity. If you write messages offline they queue locally and send automatically once you are back online.
